Maelstrom's debut album is now available to buy online from Copro Direct and Plastic Head Distribution.
Chris's new bass arrives!
Chris is now the proud owner of a 10-string bass guitar! You'll be able to hear it on Maelstrom's new album, which he'll be recording over the next few weeks. The instrument was custom built to his specifications by Alan Cringean at ACGuitars. Pictures of the construction process have been added to the photos page.
Maelstrom and Linzi part ways
We are saddened to announce the departure of Linzi Brown. She will be unable to continue playing due to personal reasons. We are disappointed but feel it's the right decision for the band and for Linzi. We wish her all the best. x
Recording of the second album will continue as planned, with Jaime Cross (formerly of Burning Earth) filling in on keys for the rest of the recording sessions.
Recording of a second album begins!
Maelstrom can confirm that work has begun on a new record. As of yet untitled, this new opus will include 8 brand new tracks, and promises to show a shift in musical direction. The band will also film the writing and recording process, and post footage on the official youtube channel.
Maelstrom sign with Casket Music
"Maelstrom are pleased to announce they have signed with UK based label and distributer Casket Music. The band's debut record "The Shores At Dawn" will be re-released worldwide".
The band are currently working on material for a new release due next year.
